3-category reference cable thermocouples CRTNN

These reference thermocouples are designed for calibration of CTK, CTN, CTL, CTJ thermocouples, modifications 21.X, equipped with additional channel for reference sensor. Calibration is carried out directly at site (without thermocouple dismantling) in compliance with procedure MI No. 3091-2007, within temperature range from +200°C to +1100°C.
Thermocouple is made of nichrosil-nisil thermocouple cable. Cable performance specification correspond to IEC 61515, IEC 60584-1.
Thermocouple hot junction is located inside cable at tip end, which is blocked with metal plug. Another thermocouple end is equipped with extension wire and/or thermocouple connector for metering circuit connection: CRTNN 01 modification - with connector; CRTNN 02 - with extension wire.
Thermocouples with cable part diameter equal to 2 mm use miniature connectors, thermocouples with diameter equal to 3, 4, 5 mm - use standard connectors.
Thermocouple connectors comply with ASTM E1684 and ASTM E1129 standards. CRTNN thermocouple with connector can be equipped with ATNN adapter (see section 11) to make measuring line longer.
It is recommended to use portable double-channel measuring instrument HH506RA.as a calibrating instrument. Expanded uncertainty of the instrument does not exceed
±(0,05% (of measured value)+0,4)°С; measurement results can be automatically recorded to the instrument memory.
For calibration CRTNN is inserted into additional channel of calibrated thermocouple so that CRTNN working end is butt against bottom of thermowell of calibrated thermocouple. Then values of CRTNN and running thermocouple are compared.
Calibration procedure (MI 3091-2007) is supplied to the end user for free. CRTNN thermocouples are not subject to periodic calibration.
CRTNN guarantee period under nominal operating temperature:
500 measurements for CRTNN 3 and 4.5 mm diameter;
300 measurements for CRTNN 2 mm diameter.
Probability of faultless operation within guarantee period is 0.90.
CRTNN thermocouple design is covered by utility model patent No. 39200. Calibration procedure is covered by patent for invention No. 2325622 dated March 22, 2007.

Execution options

Length L should be chosen according to maximum length of thermocouples being calibrated.
Extension lead length lshould be selected within the range: 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 mm.
