01.19 temperature sensors are designed for temperature measurement in melt aluminium and non-ferrous metals, and also in barium chloride bath.
For melt aluminium and non-ferrous metals temperature measurement it is recommended to use thermocouples with thermowell made of cast iron Ci or silicon nitride ceramic; for barium chloride temperature measurements - thermocouples with thermowell made of 12Cr18Ni10T steel.
Straight thermocouple can be dismantled, thermowell can be replaced in operation. Cable temperature-sensing element is partially armoured with steel tube. Temperature in connection point of thermowell and fitting should not exceed 800°С.
Thermocouple service life is not rated and is determined by thermowell destruction speed in medium being measured.
According to operating data from various plants, thermowell service life is:
- 8 to 12 months for thermowell made of silicon nitride ceramic and being used in melt aluminium;
- 10 to 30 days for thermowell made of cast iron and being used in melt aluminium;
- 10 to 30 days for thermowell made of 12Cr18Ni10T steel and being used in barium chloride bath.
Thermocouple immersion length should not exceed 80% thermowell length (thermowell).
01.25 temperature sensors are designed for temperature measurement in liquid and gaseous media, that are corrosive for thermowell material. These sensors can be dismantled, and consist of cable temperature-sensing element (can be supplied separately) and heat-resistant thermowell.
Assembly thermowell is equipped with solid tip with inner bore for temperature-sensing element. Tip is made of heat-resistant alloy or heat-resistant steel. 01.25 sensor service life depends on tip corrosion speed due to chemical and thermal effect of medium being measured. Reliability values stated below are given assuming that corrosion depth for the specified lifetime does not exceed 2mm.
Two 01.25 thermowell parts are welded together by argon-arc welding. Temperature at welding point during operation should not exceed 800°С.
Terminal heads can be equipped with transmitters with 4-20 mА DC output signal and/or digital signal via HART, PROFIBUS-PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocol. It is recommended to use heads of 16, 23, 28 modifications for easy wire connection to transmitters. Terminal head can be equipped with standard or special-purpose cable gland.
