Thermocouples are designed for temperature measurement in liquid and gaseous non-corrosive media, and also corrosive media that do not damage protective cover material.
TCS, TCR (TCB) 01.21 thermocouples are equipped with double ceramic thermowells:
–   outer thermowell is made of aluminium-oxide or mullite-аluminosilicate ceramic, silicon carbide;
–   inner thermowell - gas-tight aluminium-oxide ceramics.
Space between outer and inner thermowell is packed with powder Al2O3.
TCS (TCB) 01.21 with outer thermowell made of aluminium-oxide ceramic C799 15 mm diameter can be installed in glass furnace crown. At customer's request additional modifications can be engineered on the basis of the design.
Silicon carbide thermowells are highly resistant to strong acids and alkali.
Silicon carbide thermowell:
–   CК90 gas-tight thermowell, recommended under high mechanical loads under temperature up to 1350°С;
–    CК99 porous (non-gas-tight) thermowell, recommended for operation under high temperature up to 1600°C.
Ceramic thermowell is partially armoured with steel tube. Metal armour is made of steel AISI310, temperature in transition zone between ceramic and metal thermowell parts should not exceed 1000°C under operating conditions.
Thermowell ceramic part length (K) should be explicitly specified at the time of order.
At customer's request the thermocouple can be equipped with single thermowell made of gas-tight aluminium-oxide ceramics.
Movable fitting UNKJ 031, UNKJ 041 or movable mounting flange UNKJ 030 are recommended for thermocouple installation at site (see section 11)/

For measuring circuit connection thermocouples can be equipped with thermocouple adapter ATPP
